Documentation:
summary: The GLOSS/CLIVAR (formerly known as WOCE) "fast delivery" sea level data is distributed as hourly, daily, and monthly values. These data are processed from a globally distributed set of sea level gauges and made available to users wit hin three months of data collection. This is a "fast" turnaround time compared to the more thoroughly quality-controlled "research-quality" sea level data also distributed through the UHSLC at http://uhslc.soest.hawaii.edu/rqds.html. Direct inquiries on the data or its access to Shikiko Nakahara at nakahara@soest.hawaii.edu. Further inquiries should be made to Mark Merrifield, Principal Investigator, at markm@soest.hawaii.edu.
rights: The data are provided free of charge, without warranty of any kind, though appropriate acknowledgment is requested in any publications arising therefrom.
funding: This project is supported by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) Climate and Global Change program and is one of the activities of the University of Hawaii Sea Level Center (UHSLC) in the School of Ocean and Earth Science and Technology (SOEST). Primary support for the UHSLC comes from NOAA's Office of Global Programs (OGP). Funding is also provided by NASA under the JASON program for the development of In Situ Tide Gauge/GPS Stations for Monitoring the Temporal Drift of Satellite Altimeters. The UHSLC also hosts the Joint Archive for Sea Level (JASL), a collaborative effort with the National Oceanographic Data Center (NODC).
