ROMS Diagnostics: Forecast Comparison
These figures show the latest forecast for the different ROMS regions compared to either the 2 day forecast, 3 day forecast or 7 day forecast. Comparing the latest ocean forecast to previous forecasts helps to understand the accuracy of the prediction. The left shows the latest forecast available and on the right, the selected forecast from the drop down menu. These figures (right) are the predicted ocean state three or seven days ago for the same time as the latest forecast (left) for temperature, salinity, velocity, and surface height. Comparing the latest ocean forecast to previous forecasts helps to understand the accuracy of the prediction.
